1 year achieved again
So last Oct 31st I had to restart my soberity date and today marks my 1 year anniversary! It's been a very rough year but so full of blessings. I'm so grateful that I have in my life what I have today and don't want to change my soberity for anything. I hope that this next year bring big and better things.

Just realized I haven't updated this in awhile
So it's been a crazy busy time since my last post. I've been working, went to Utah for a wedding/vacation, came home to learn my sister was moving, went on a vacation to Sandusky, got a tatoo, threw my sister a going away party which I didn't really get to attend, had emergency surgery, and have had a lot of complications. Inspite of all of this going on I have kept my soberity which is pretty awesome. I have 11 months now and am scheduled to give my first lead at the end of Oct. I am loving life and even though I have been having a lot of difficulties since surgery am so very grateful for all that God has blessed me with because I would be back using if it weren't for me giving my life over to him. I'm grateful also for my family because I have been recovering from surgery at their house and am grateful for all the many trips they made to Cleveland while I was in the hospital and for all my follow up appts. I still am having complications but things are improving very slowly.

Wow summer has just really flown by
Well since daycamp ended I started babysitting for someone I went to school with. I am watching her 3, 4, 10, and 11 year old. I basically will be working 2 weeks a month. I completed week one last week and I love the kids. I ended up on friday with a small bowel obstruction so I've been sick and took today off. I'll watch the kids tomorrow and then am off til after vacation. Hope everyone's summer is going good.

Been a busy summer so far
Well just ended the annual daycamp I have been co-leading for 3 summers. I loved it. Camp this year was a lot of fun because I got to share the experience with my little sister. I have never worked with her on that front and it was awesome. The kids we had were an awesome group of kids that kept us hopping. We played a lot of games with capture the flag and dodgeball being number one games this summer. We walked to the police station, the cemetary, and pikes station for breakfast. We also did a lot of other fun stuff. I'm so grateful that I am given this oppurtunity ever summer.

Big day filled with lots of good
So I did it again. I had to rego into Choices (aka intensive outpatient treatment back in feb) and I earned (really earned) my coin today. I now go into aftercare and individual counseling. I learned a lot this time and hope never to have to do it again.

This time 32 years ago
Wow I can't believe my birthday is in 2 days. I sit here today and think about my birthmother. I wonder what she went through in the process of making her decision. Back in the late 1970's all adoptions were closed and so I don't know her. I thank her from here though because she gave me a chance at a life with both a mother and a father. She gave me a family to grow up in and to always have to support me. Some people ask my what it is like to be adoption and not know my mother and father. This is how i respond. I do know my mother and father. They are the ones who raised me from the time I was 4 weeks old until now and are still here with me. They taught me everything I know and have always stood by me no matter what. My birthparents made the unselfish sacrifice to give me away and hoped that I would know that they truely loved me and wanted the best. I thank them for the gift they gave my family.

Life is truely a gift
The past couple weeks have been completely crazy and busy. First I ended up with what they thought was walking pnemonia/bronchitis...... it ended up being a spot of pnemonia and bronchitis. Not a great combo with asthma. While I was in the middle of being sick my great uncle was put in hospice care at his home. I spiked a fever for 3 days and wasn't able to go in and see him before he passed away but I did share a special experience with him a month prior when we played cards with his wife and the pastor (I also saw him a couple times before he passed). I am grateful because I know he is now with God and free from pain and suffering. He fought a long hard fight with colon cancer and was ready to go. I was very touched by the community of Creston where we live because they reached out to my family. They brought food, stood hours up hours in line (some waiting up to 3 hours to go through the funeral home to pay respects), and came to the funeral. It was pretty amazing (close to 850 came through calling hours). I heard stories about my uncle and they were all how he helped them out in their time of need. I am so blessed because of the family God choose to give me too. Two of my cousins (one of CA and one from OR) came into town for the funeral. I got to know them as adults and have a place to stay in CA if I want to go out. My hand/wrist is still messed up from the car accident in Jan and I go Friday to see a Hand Specialist to see if they can do anything for it. Life truely is an adventure and a gift and I am so grateful for the life I have today!

Extremely blessed
So I just wanted to post that I am extremely blessed in my life. I have an amazing family who has stuck by me when they didn't need to. I am loved by the Lord and he loves and guides me on a daily basis. I am sober and clean and I am loving every moment of it. I have an awesome set of positive friends who steer me to be better than I was the day before. I have an awesome job interview on thurs to be a Youth Pastor in Medina. One of the responsiblities I would have is to run a teen mentoring group. I'm excited because I am hoping to start a few more youth programs. Life is sure an amazin adventure for sure!

Crazy and sick
So I'm still currently battling stomach issues. I was in once again in the hospital from friday night until early this afternoon. Had my lovely friend the ng tube down my nose too. So I had a lot of time to think and it's time for a new outlook on life. I'm looking into working and actually had someone email me back on a resume I sent out that wants to talk on thurs. It's a step in the right direction. I am truely blessed and amazed daily but all the things I am learning. I have quite crying why to the lord and am just asking for his guidance and direction as we deal with all this stuff. So to my friends who read this I love ya and hope life is going good for each and everyone of you.
